ACOFP Welcomes Med Students

Medical school is challenging, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Through the Student Association of the ACOFP and your local ACOFP Family Medicine Chapter, you can connect with classmates, student leaders, residents, and practicing physicians who share your interest in whole-person, patient-centered care.

Your chapter is a great place to attend hands-on workshops, participate in service activities, build leadership experience, and learn more about the many paths available in family medicine.

Getting involved with ACOFP is a meaningful way to build your resume, grow as a leader, and contribute to the future of osteopathic family medicine. Student members can serve on national student committees, apply for the National Student Executive Board, connect with mentors, engage with affiliate societies, submit content, and participate in leadership opportunities.

These experiences can help you develop the skills, relationships, and perspective that will serve you well through medical school, residency, and beyond.

The ACOFP Annual Convention and Scientific Seminars gives students the opportunity to meet peers from across the country, connect with residents, program directors, and practicing family physicians, and participate in programming designed with osteopathic medical students in mind. The proposed version also notes that students can attend at a discounted student registration rate.
