ACOFP Leadership:
Meet the 2026-2027 National Student Executive Board
The National Student Executive Board (NSEB) is composed of the president, vice president, secretary, parliamentarian, and chapter outreach director. The tenure for each role is one year. Board members also act as liaisons to student chapters, responsible for examining their reports, allocating points, and orchestrating programming.
Selection criteria and processes for these roles are outlined and defined in the Constitution and Bylaws.

Elections are held during the Annual Convention each year, with applications opening in March.
National Student Executive Board Objectives and Responsibilities
Board Mission
Act as a voice for the Student Association of the ACOFP and work with the ACOFP student chapters at the Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine to promote family medicine and help develop future leaders of ACOFP and the profession of osteopathic family medicine.
Board Charges
The National Student Executive Board (NSEB) represents osteopathic medical students within ACOFP and works to support student chapters, strengthen engagement, and promote interest in osteopathic family medicine.
Board Responsibilities
Chapter Development & Support
- Chapter Support: Identify, assist, and help reengage new or inactive student chapters.
- Resource Development: Create an online resource area for student chapter presidents.
Communications & Content Development
- Student Communications: Contribute to the monthly student newsletter and quarterly OMT newsletter.
- Collaborations: Work with national student committees to promote family medicine through initiatives such as blogs, podcasts, and other engagement opportunities.
- Diversity Features: Produce quarterly interviews highlighting the diversity of practice within family medicine through conversations with ACOFP leaders, including Chairs of Family Medicine, and Deans.
Convention Programming & Education
- Annual Convention Programming: Organize programming and activities for students at the ACOFP Annual Convention.
- Student Attendance: Promote and increase student participation in the ACOFP Annual Convention.
- Leadership Training: Implement the Student Chapter Leadership Training program, available both at the convention and online.
- Workshops: Plan and coordinate OMT and other workshops for students.
Leadership Collaboration & Advocacy
- Resident Council Partnership: Collaborate with the Resident Council to provide family medicine and residency resources, including podcasts, blogs, and live panel discussions.
- Policy Advocacy: Submit resolutions on student-relevant topics to the Resolutions Committee and encourage student participation in the Congress of Delegates.
- Advocacy: Actively advocate for osteopathic medical students and the future of osteopathic family medicine.
Student Engagement & Membership Growth
- Membership Growth: Promote ACOFP membership and family medicine while assisting chapters with recruitment challenges.
- Student Engagement: Develop strategies to maintain the involvement of third- and fourth-year students in national and chapter activities.
- Community Service & Engagement: Coordinate and support a national student community service, diversity, or OMT project or event.
