Tell us about your current practice and the patients you serve.

I practice outpatient family medicine without obstetrics, caring for patients from newborns through geriatrics. I love the continuity of seeing individuals and families across all stages of life.

Why did you choose family medicine?

I enjoy following my patients through every season of life and helping them navigate the healthcare system. Building long-term relationships and being a consistent presence in their care is what drew me to family medicine.

What does a typical day look like as a new physician in practice?

Most days I see about 18–20 patients, with procedures sprinkled in. Like many new physicians, I spend more time on charting and managing the inbox after hours than I’d like, but I’m learning to find better balance.

Are you involved with ACOFP or other leadership roles?

Yes! I currently serve as an ACOFP Indiana Delegate, an AOA Indiana Alternate Delegate, and I’m the Vice President of Indiana ACOFP

What volunteer or advocacy work has been most meaningful to you?

Serving as a delegate at the state and national level has been incredibly fulfilling. I enjoy seeing how policy and medicine intersect and value the opportunity to advocate for both physicians and the patients we serve.

When did you first realize you wanted to become a physician?

In high school, a family friend suggested I consider medicine—something I’d never thought about before. After shadowing and volunteering, my interest continued to grow and ultimately led me down this path.

What advice do you have for residents and students?

Get involved. Your new ideas and creative approaches challenge medicine in the best way and help drive growth and change.
