Did you know that the prevalence of immunosuppression in the United States is 6.6%?

To close out National Immunization Awareness Month, the National Student Executive Board (NSEB) would like to shine a bright spotlight on some of the bravest people in our community—our amazing patients who are immunocompromised and immunosuppressed across the United States!

As current and future healthcare providers, we know how important immunizations are to keep everyone healthy. Vaccines don't just protect the individual, they also help protect our most vulnerable loved ones, those who are immunocompromised. By keeping ourselves and others up to date with vaccines, we're creating a safer world for our immunocompromised community members, who can't always rely on their own immune systems to protect them from infections. We also help to reduce nosocomial infections for other vulnerable patients during our clinical hours.

So, as we close out this month of awareness, let's commit to protecting each other by staying informed and getting vaccinated. Together, we can continue to safeguard the health of our immunocompromised community.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and thank you for being part of this journey with us!

Blessings to all,
