About George Yang:

Biography & Education

George Yang, DO, MPH is a PGY-2 Family Medicine resident at the University of Minnesota Woodwinds Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He earned degrees in Physics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Public Health before attending the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio, Texas.

As a family medicine resident, Dr. Yang enjoys the specialty's breadth, with experiences ranging from delivering babies and caring for newborns to managing complex inpatient cases and providing comprehensive outpatient care. He joined the ACOFP Resident Council to represent residents in the Midwest and advocate for osteopathic family medicine physicians training in a variety of residency settings, helping to strengthen and expand the reach of osteopathic principles in patient care. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, exploring new restaurants, biking, baking bread, working out, and playing video games.
