Biography & Education

Evan Bischoff, D.O. is a Family Medicine Resident at Henry Ford Genesys in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) – Virginia Campus, where he also completed a Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Bischoff is deeply committed to leadership, service, and medical education. During medical school, he served as a National Student Governor for the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), where he worked closely with the Board of Governors to increase student engagement and support the future of osteopathic family medicine. He was also a member of several national committees focused on diversity, inclusion, and student experience.

His research interests include medical education and primary care recruitment, notably through his ongoing study on factors influencing osteopathic medical students’ decision to pursue family medicine. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in immunology, oncology, and nutrition.

In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Bischoff has led numerous volunteer initiatives, including organizing health fairs, food drives, and community outreach programs. He has also played a key role in designing and leading medical procedure workshops and residency panels to support medical student development.

He currently serves on the Henry Ford Genesys Family Medicine Residency Recruitment and Didactics Improvement Committees. His contributions to osteopathic medicine have been recognized through awards such as the 2024 Emerging Osteopathic Student Leadership Award and the 2022 Sterling K. Welch Scholars Grant.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Bischoff enjoys gastronomy, international travel, and competitive swimming.
